The rest is covered with items you find, there are 4 types of pickpocket gear so all you need is 1 pickpocket and you can boost that up to 5 if you really want to pickpocket someone, but that is usually for early game, there are much better ways to make money. You'll want to get lockpick 2, loremaster 2, telekinesis 2, and pickpocket 1. There are thousands of containers through the game, and about 1 in 20 giving free stuff. Main thing is get lucky charm to 5 asap (make a lucky belt, etc) for max gain from opening things. This is even better if this main is a warrior because you often can get leadership and lucky charm on strength items (helms, shields, etc), but isn't super important. Both of these you can get +1 with traits. You'll have plenty of money through crafting and vendor abuse.Ģ) 2nd main. I finished with 3 on my character at endgame plus 2 barter items to throw on when buying/selling. Barter? just put a point in it or 2, not a huge deal. Charisma 5 is a must but you won't need much more than that because with the mini game, 5 is just the same as having 9, you'll still need 2 checks to win. Start the game with pet pal and politician (+2 charisma). Charisma, barter and reputation on your main work wonders. There are a lot of charisma checks in the game for extra experience. You won't need him to pickpocket because that is too time consuming to switch in and out, plus you'll find pockpocket gear to use on your main characters when you want to do that.ġ Main with charisma and barter and PET PAL. Your 1 on Jahan will be fine enough to do basic stuff until you get Wolgraff up and running. If your taking Jahan in your party i also would use Wolgraff as your smith/crafter and just stack that on him until he maxes out at 5 in each so he can make/upgrade the good stuff later. they might become better later level than level 6, I wasn't so fond of Battlemage early on I could have a combat dual Daggers Scoundrel? I could have 1 Marksman light splash Scoundrel. That might be good since lots of elements plus witchcraft. I could have 1 Pure Man at Arms (Madora) or 2 if I also make a PC into this design I'll probably have an NPC such as Wolgraff take roles such as pick pocket thief, crafter etc. So basically I'm back at square one in terms of party design. I will probably make Wolgraff a pick pocket or other roles that can be done in towns, but not venture out.Īnd then Madora plays the role of a pure man at arms well and could take Leadership also At least the first 6 levels the Battlemage was very unfocused/unspecialized. I could make the Battlemage into a pure Mage so that I only stack Intelligence and don't need strength. I could make Bairdotr be the Marksman splash Scoundrel (Dexterity based) that my main PC was doing. I'm definitely restarting in order to change the talents away from nerfed to the ground ones. Hmmm I'm thinking to rethink a little before restarting. Yes, there are many worthless talents in the game, these 2 are some of them in the enhanced edition. Since Guirilla ONLY works with basic bow attack, it isn't even useful on a Marksman character because any good Marksman will be leading the start of a battle with a more powerful attack than a simple 1 shot bow attack.įorget both talents completely in the enhanced edition. Forget being a combat scoundrel with any sort of stealth/guerilla tactics, nerfed in the enhanced edition.īe a Marksman with some scoundrel talents as 2ndary, and all Marksmen should have them because they are very nice backup to your archer abilities, but if you want to be some sort of combat rogue, make up a fighter instead in the enhanced edition. Fast track, Walk in shadows, Adrenaline, trip, wing feet all are ok as a marksman but you aren't going to be doing damage with daggers. I play a Marksman rogue all the time since some Scoundrel talents are based on Dex plus don't require a bow. In the regular game sure, they are OP, but they were nerfed in EE. Neither skill is useful in the EE because scoundrels aren't useful in the EE with such stealth combat anymore. So a marksman rogue is perfectly fine, as long as you are a marksman first, and some scoundrel skills 2nd. If your going a Marksman then you shouldn't be worrying about sneaking and sandcreeper in combat anyway you should be shooting arrows, plus many scoundrel skills require a dagger not a bow. They nerfed sneaking and rogues in the enhanced edition so they aren't really functional anymore, sneaking in combat isn't useful and is only useful entering combat for the first time.
